Phil Fowler

Phil is a highly experienced business attorney with a demonstrated history of serving corporate clients in a wide variety of complex litigation and transactional matters.

Phil has a proven record of solving and avoiding problems with respect to a full range of legal issues facing businesses and their owners, officers, directors and employees. He has served clients ranging from small, family-owned businesses to large, multinational corporations, and everything in between. He has been a trusted advisor to clients operating in numerous and diverse industries such as manufacturing, banking, finance, accounting, real estate development, environmental management and recycling, and energy.

Phil has served as lead counsel in multiple jury trials, bench trials and arbitrations, and has argued before the Indiana Court of Appeals, Indiana Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit on multiple occasions. He is a former Chair of the Litigation Section of the Indiana State Bar Association. Phil also has extensive experience in both the in-house and law firm worlds and has served in upper management in two different AmLaw 250 law firms.

Phil was born in southern Indiana and is the first person in his family to graduate from college, earning a Bachelor of Science degree, with High Distinction, from the Indiana University (Kelley) School of Business. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the Vanderbilt University Law School. He is an avid supporter of Indiana University and is a former candidate for its Board of Trustees. He is also active in serving the Indianapolis community, having served on boards and committees of the Indianapolis Zoo and the Childrens Museum, and has performed volunteer legal work at the Roudebush Veterans Medical Center in Indianapolis.
