With over 30 years of experience, Mark Palmer concentrates his practice in governmental and regulatory matters, including alcoholic beverage permitting. He is the founder of Market and Capital Advocacy, a lobbying-related affiliate of PLG.
A former partner with Taft, Stettinius & Hollister, Mark chaired the Government Affairs Practice Group. Mark was also formerly Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Gibson County, Indiana, and Bibb County State Court for Macon, Georgia. From 1984 to 1990, Mark was a member of the Indiana House of Representatives. He graduated from Kentucky Wesleyan College and Mercer University Law School.
Beyond PLG, Mark is a board member of the Grouseland Foundation, an organization that preserves and support the former Indiana Territorial Capitol and presidential home of William Henry Harrison. Mark is also an active member of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana and the Governmental Affairs Society of Indiana. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife, Ann, reading biographies and history, and playing unexceptional golf.
