
Christine Jacobson focuses her practice on workouts and restructurings, bankruptcy, and adversary and commercial litigation, representing debtors, borrowers, creditors, creditors' committees, and trustees. Chris also represents parties in commercial loan and real estate transactions.
Prior to civil practice, Chris served as a deputy prosecutor for Marion County, an experience that sharpened her litigation skills. Before law school, she worked as a CPA in New York City for a Big Eight public accounting firm and a Fortune 100 company — a background that gave her invaluable perspective when working through complex financial problems with clients.
Chris received her undergraduate degree in accounting from Indiana University Bloomington and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. Before joining PLG, Chris formed Jacobson Hile Kight LLC and previously practiced with Barnes & Thornburg LLP, Wooden & McLaughlin LLP, and Katz & Korin PC.
An active member of the Indianapolis community, Chris has served on boards for The Orchard School, Broadway United Methodist Church, Breaking Free, Families with Children from China–Indiana, and DeVeau's School of Gymnastics Booster Club. She is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association, where she has served as chair of the Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Section. Chris has also been recognized by Best Lawyers for Banking and Finance Law.
