PLG welcomes Charley Smith to the firm! Charley is an experienced attorney representing clients in real estate and commercial litigation. Throughout his 22-year career, he has represented individuals, governmental entities, and corporations in a wide variety of cases.
Charley is admitted to all Indiana state courts, as well as the federal courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Ball State University with magna cum laude honors and completed his law degree at the University of Georgia, also with cum laude distinction. During his time at the University of Georgia, Charley served as the Senior Notes Editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property and raced for the Georgia cycling team.
Charley has been named an Indiana Super Lawyer every year since 2018. His professional involvement includes serving as the treasurer for the Indy Bar Foundation, with two years of prior service on its board. Charley is also a board member of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana and the Sagamore Inn of Court.
Beyond his legal practice, Charley swims with the Indy Aquatic Masters and has been involved with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Central Indiana. He lives in the Indianapolis area with his wife and daughter.
